Drop Test

Lansmont/ PDT-56ED
A test used to expose delivery or actual products in a free-fall environment.
Introduction
The free fall test assesses the condition of the product upon receiving sudden impact when dropped intransit or mishandled.
Application
Free-fall tests can reduce the performance of the product or cause permanent damage to the product, and repeated tests can reproduce the same defects. Furthermore, the 3-axis accelerometer can also be used to measure the amount of impact (g) delivered to the product mounted in the box or to the desired location of the product to analyse the impact on the product from the drop in the field.
